At Leeds Hypnotherapy Academy, we offer the transformative practice of Reiki, an ancient form of energy healing originated in Japan by Mikao Usui in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, passed down through generations and is now offered by us. With a rich history that includes influential figures like Hawayo Takata, a student of Chujiro Hayashi, Reiki may unlock the potential of the mind and bring about positive change in the lives of those who experience it. Experience the power of Reiki at Leeds Hypnotherapy Academy and embark on a journey of inner healing and growth. Using either hands on or hands-off healing through which energy is transferred to the client, encouraging emotional or physical healing and bringing balance and harmony, it is believed that Reiki may stimulate the body to heal itself and is a tradition that is open to any or no belief system. Reiki is a healing process (but should not, however, be regarded as a cure for conditions) that can benefit anyone in the normal course of their life and, as a natural form of healing, Reiki may support and enhance other forms of treatment. Practitioners do not give any form of diagnosis and should always advise clients to seek medical opinion for any symptoms of concern. Sessions usually lasts approximately one hour, clients remaining clothed, often covered with a blanket, lay or sit and relax whilst the practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively, on or near the body. There is no massage or manipulation and the whole person is treated rather than specific symptoms. It is also possible to receive Reiki at a distance. Clients may or may not feel sensations during a treatment and benefits reported by clients include deep relaxation promoting a calm, peaceful sense of well being on all levels. The UK National Occupational Standards for Reiki require practitioners to have a Reiki lineage that can be traced directly back to Mikao Usui and to have been attuned/initiated/empowered in person and Nigel can demonstrate his lineage.

Please try to give 24 hours notice prior to cancellation. Leeds Hypnotherapy Academy & Reiki reserve the right to charge the full cost of misssed or cancelled sessions subject to discussion with the client if necessary.
