Hours 20 days over 10 weekends 450 total learning hours 160 directed learning hours 140 non contact learning 150 face to face teaching hours Fees £75 deposit payable online £120 balance payable at each weekend Content This programme provides learners with the skills and knowlege to register with the General Hypnotheray Register (GHR) following success in the final examinations and meets the requirements prescribed by Skills for Health, National Occupational Standards Core Curriculum and Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council as required by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council-GHSC. The programme is balanced between academic theory and practical skills. Each module develops clinical presentations with underlying anatomy, physiology and neurology, providing learners with techniques to safely and ethically undertake consultations, agree goals and treatment plans with patients. Learners will practice (usually in pairs) a range of trance induction, deepening and maintenance techniques along with therapeutic strategies suitable for a range of clinical presentations. Learners require liability insurance and student membership of the GHSC by weekend 5 which will be discussed during the porgramme. Assessment Leaners undertake self assessments, are required to submit a number of work pieces including case studies, essays and a therapeutic strategy. A summative examination day at the end of the programme with two written and one practical paper.
